Swoon Over Style

As a slight history buff and through bumming some Netflix I have found myself fixated on the documentary The Kennedy’s. That era was so glamorous and with it their lifestyles. I found myself asking the question one that I have mentioned before, Jackie Kennedy or Marilyn Monroe? I AM HANDS DOWN A JACKIE KENNEDY. Don’t get me wrong, we all have our Monroe nights, but Jackie just oozes confidence and sophistication in a way all girls should try to channel.

She could often be found all glammed up in classic Givenchy sheaths in gorgeous knits, with oyster pearls and white gloves. According to Valentino, “Jackie Kennedy style was a mix of naturalness and sophistication, an outdoorsy kind of beauty”. But she isn’t all peaches and cream, you can also find her in bright cropped trousers, cat eye sunglasses with a Hermes pattered scarf. Not to mention, as an avid equestrian myself (takes one to know one), on occasion she accents her femme style with riding boots, saddle brown or a bit accessory. No matter how you slice it, Jackie Kennedy is a style icon that has withstood the test of time and with Hutton, Hepburn and Hall, will forever remain one of my style icons.

I wear these colors together on a daily basis; these colors are not limited to the fourth alone. Not to mention this particular color combination is glorious when accented with GOLD (another favorite of mine). Whether casual or refined this color combination is oh so classy. Take the look a step further and throw in some nautical pieces for fun! My uniform of choice for the fourth consisted of:
