Royal && Regal

So Prince Harry, has yet to ask me to attend the royal wedding with him.  He is playing hard to get, but that does not stop my imagination from escaping me.

I can see it now, Marchesa cocktail dress adorned with matching fascinator and white gloves, wishful thinking maybe, but here are just some of the royal accessories and looks that are royal inspired and regal for any real woman.

Think simplistic! Simple sheaths in gem or bright tones, with a fitted blazer is the quickest way to look royally polished.  Although they maybe princesses, Duchesses or what have you they keep jewelry simple and classic with pearl and diamond studs, pendants, etc. Where the fun comes in is with both fascinators and hats, go wild here, the louder the hat the better. When it comes to accessories a matching clutch and shoes are a must.  Now I myself am NOT a very matchy matchy person, but when it comes to royal attire let me tell you those women like to match the hell out of an outfit.  Catherine herself is usually found in head to toe one color. Remember have fun and remember you can be regal like to royals anytime you choose!

Don't they just look smashing!

For the FLIRTY royal wedding guest

Some other great fascinator moments are below:

Finally I just want to predict the designer of Ms. Middleton's wedding gown. I believe with the combination of the passing of the great English designer Alexander McQueen, and the innovative success of the McQueen house, it is the clear choice as the dress maker. Sarah Burton is a genius gown designer (as seen below) and she, is undoubtedly, fit for the job.

Well, we shall see...

Since it looks like I will NOT be attending, I will be viewing the wedding like all the other commoners of the world on tv bright and early! But I will not be without royal attire. This is my wedding day outfit!

Crazy for Crew

Yes I do love the sophistication of the Henley Royal Regatta but I'm talking about a different kind of crew. J.Crew that is! And honestly who isn't kray kray for crew?! Simple, effortless chic is not an easy thing to accomplish.  Women from Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon to the iconic Lauren Hutton have this near unattainable look on lock-down. As for me, when I desire effortless chic, I cheat.  Head to toe J.Crew with a little sparkle with some jewelry and accessories is a simple equation for success.

Upon my visit to Ft. Myers for SB '11 I stubbled upon the Holy Grail, the J.Crew factory store.  Already marked down prices, 2 day sale of 30% off AND 15% off student discount?!?! DON'T MIND IF I DO! Here are some of my fab finds I just happen to call my own:

Lilly or Bust

With Resort wear in full effect, as well as my approaching visit to Vanderbilt beach looming as I take my midterms, I have found myself abusing my bookmark entitled Pink && Green.  What is that you ask? None other then Lilly Pulitzer, aka pure bliss captured in bright prints and preppy details.  Now I have a very eclectic sense of style, nautical prep one day followed by LA street wear the next, however if you had a gun to my head and made me choose, I would without a doubt choose the bright, girly, Hampton-esque styling of Lilly Pulitzer.  Everything from the metallic gold rope detail on day dresses to the ric-rac nautical inspired bangles (which I couldn't resist!), it is sophisticated, fun and just in time for Spring! My father always has said I belong on the East coast in terms of lifestyle choices and this will only help is cause, so here's to you dad, and possible ideas for birthday presents! HAPPY SPRING BELLES!

Backstage Belles

Picture it: hairspray in the air, clothes flying, models lining up, the screaming of Kelly Cutrone, don't you just love it! It's backstage people and it is nothing short of anarchy.  Not that I would know but a girl can dream can't she? Second only to the fab runway pics by style.com are the moments captured backstage.  Here are just a few of my favorite from Fall 2011.
