Lilly or Bust

With Resort wear in full effect, as well as my approaching visit to Vanderbilt beach looming as I take my midterms, I have found myself abusing my bookmark entitled Pink && Green.  What is that you ask? None other then Lilly Pulitzer, aka pure bliss captured in bright prints and preppy details.  Now I have a very eclectic sense of style, nautical prep one day followed by LA street wear the next, however if you had a gun to my head and made me choose, I would without a doubt choose the bright, girly, Hampton-esque styling of Lilly Pulitzer.  Everything from the metallic gold rope detail on day dresses to the ric-rac nautical inspired bangles (which I couldn't resist!), it is sophisticated, fun and just in time for Spring! My father always has said I belong on the East coast in terms of lifestyle choices and this will only help is cause, so here's to you dad, and possible ideas for birthday presents! HAPPY SPRING BELLES!

New York Fashion Week Spring 2011 part quarte

The craziness and dazzling fashion continues, and Spring is singing with [Barely there wear].  That's right girls, hike up those hemlines, cutout the excess and let it all hang out.  Well, not ALL hang out, but the latest shows show just enough skin through cutouts, sheer detail and tiny tops.

No one hit the nail on the head quite like Dennis Basso.  GNO frocks in iridescent nude && silver, Sheer hems and cutouts galore.  These frocks flirt with the line of naughty and nice.

New York Fashion Week Spring 2011 part trois

The madness that is NYFW continues and boy oh boy am I sad I missed Fashion's Night Out last night.  I'm assuming that my invitation from Anna Wintour to the Saks party was lost in the mail? Can you imagine the who's who in the fashion world all under one roof. Maybe someday.  Anyway lets talk [sheath]. The most simplistic dress silhouette is anything but simple.  Whether its a bright tangerine from Lacoste or metalic from Lela Rose, the sheath is Spring.

This deserves a category all its own, as a college prep myself I adore every single piece.  Casual seersucker tailored shorts paired with silk bikini top and trim blazer. GENIUS! It is a high fashion collection for a true prep.
