This is a story of girl meets designer. The girl, a hopeless fashionista trapped in the middle of Missouri. The designer, Michelle Smith of New York who has traveled the world and dressed socialites and celebrities alike.

Okay, so there is no denying my love for Michelle Smith and her clothing line Milly. It is everything a girl needs: Sophisticated, eclectic, playful and so much more. While flipping through every last picture of Fall RTW 2011 collections eventually run into one another. Milly is NOT one of those collections! Her rich tweeds, metallic mixs, and bright frocks are taken to the next level when mixed, layered and accessorized. For me, most designers give me a piece that i want to build around, but Milly somehow has this magically power over me where I want the H2T look, no questions asked. Slowly watch as Milly takes over your mind and you become powerless, my only advice, GIVE IN!

Erin && Edgar

Angelic refinement. They are the two best words I would use to describe two great artists, the French father of Impressionism, Edward Degas, and American fashion designer Erin Fetherson. Degas is known for his paintings of beautiful angelic dancers in pastel and tulle. It is this angelic essence that embodies feminism that both Degas has mastered, and Erin has recreated in her Fall RTW 2011 collection. The clothes speak for themselves and I would wear them all!

MAJOR Mixed Media

Let me first just say, it is miserable to have 4 tests during NYFW. I have neglected my poor Belle, but then again momma always said "school first comes first", well scratch that my mom would want me to put fashion first most likely. Moving right along some of my most favorite designers have showed in the past few days and love is not a strong enough word. Houses like Derek Lam, Michael Kors, DVF, Tibi, Halston && more have been so amazing. Even more amazing is the eclectic essence of all sorts of fabrics and media, every luxe fabric you could possibly think of. Lace, knit, fur, sequence, leather, it is all in one look and making sweet, sweet music. Alice + Olivia was the starting point of my obsession of the mix of fabrics for fall. Let's see fur...check, sequin...double check, all I need is some leather pants and I am set for the look below. Let me also add I am currently accepting donations for said leather pants. Let's hit the looks, and some fab mixed media artwork thrown in there as well.

The Wu Effect

A new epidemic is sweeping the nation, no it's not a flu or a crazy teen idol (love you Beibs!) it's Wu, Jason Wu. Jason Wu is an accomplished, pocket sized new designer with a very BIG effect on the world of fashion. Worn and adored by first lady Michelle Obama, models like Karlie Kloss and Chanel Iman, and celebs like Katie Holmes and Camille Belle it is no denying the effect of Wu's clothes. His collections have been described as "uptown", "girly girl", and "season-less", and his clothes are just that. This year's Fall RTW 2011 collection was for lack of a better word, flawless. Full feathered frocks, layered crystals, a Marie Antoinette flaire, and this year's hot lace trend in full effect were all prevalent in every look. To top it off there were many subtle hints of elegance like 24 Karat Gold painted ponytails && elegant polka dot tights, it is official that Jason Wu is quickly becoming this girl's fave!
