Happy Hair

Braids, twists, curl, krimp? Oh the things we do to our hair, but for good reason.  My hair is somehow always directly connected to my mood && outfit.  Soft curls means i am feeling feminine, slicked back straight pony means i'm feeling sexy, and [middle part] means i'm feeling trendy.  You can read me like a book by just looking at my hair, BUT i am always experimenting and trying the new new.  My latest obsession when it comes to hair, the herringbone (fishtail braid).  Whether that will be successful is still to be determined...

Faux Get About It!

Despite the 150° weather mid missouri is experiencing right now i can not keep my mind off of fall furs. FAUX fur that is. Fur is timeless and luxurious, whether it be Cruela De Ville or Rachel Zoe, anyone can rock a fur. I prefer faux fur myself because i am a HUGE animal activate and real fur just gives me the willies, but faux fur has never been so [chic], fabulous and affordable.  Whether it be shoes, handbag, vest or outerwear, faux is fabulous. Not all of the following are faux, but all are fab.

One day a very brilliant woman, whoever she was, reached in her man's chest drawer and pulled out a dress shirt, threw a belt on over it and walked out the door. [I owe her one]. Not only am i a huge fan of oversized menswear as womenswear i am obsessed with men's accessories as well. Stripped silk ties, cognac  [oxfords] and a giant gold watch, i love the look. Everyone from the greats like katherine Hepburn, Julie Andrews to current women like Agyness Deyn are all on trend and gender bending, IN a good way, i like to refer to this as fashion bending. Whether starting small w/ one men's accessory or rockin' those boyfriend jeans and tie, its all deadly, but most of all, all timeless.
